Just wanted to draw scene where shiranui stands up and refuses to die after fight with Nechku and lechku. I have always wanted to draw that scene and when I browsed throught Okami fanarts I get so inspirated that... hmm... yeah xD I had to start drawing.

Oki and amaterasu were not in original sketch but somehow they wangled themselves in there xD

The suggester wrote: "Okami - refusing to fall by *Grypwolf is an amazing art piece about one of the game's many touching scenes. Shirinui refuses to die after being severely wounded by the demons Nechku and Lechku. The way *Grypwolf illustrates this scene with detail and emotion causes the players who have already experienced it to want to play again and for those who have yet to play through it to pick up the controller and get going. Love this~

One thing so many don't realize is "Shiranui" was merely a name given the Amaterasu but the people of the village she protected. The look of Shiranui is the true form of the Sun Goddess.
But so very few actually realize this. x3

I cried at this part in the game... then about an hour later ran into this and cried harder... And here people say I don't have emotions >_>;

Love it! This was one of my favorite parts of Okami C: The shading is stunning and I love how accurate the charries are, they look awesome in your style! ^^ Happy to see Issun added in there. :aww:
